My Online Presence
Well, my online presence was nil, as far as I could see. I tried Ashley Tomlinson, adding my middle name/initial, but nothing for myself came up. I did find out that there are several other in this world that share the same name as myself, but found nothing in the first few pages of my search that dealt with myself. While I do use a social network and have this blog, I could not find anything.

On a more thoughtful note, is it detrimental in any way if we have no presence on line? I don't know. It may depend on the context.
I think at this point in my life I am content not having a huge online presence; I think that privacy is important and the less information random people can access about me, the safer my personal being and my online privacy/identity are safe from potential predators.
ReplyDeleteEven this blog can be dangerous. That is why I didn't attach my full name to the account. Sure, it can be traced if you use my email, but at least when you google my name, my thoughts and views aren't the first thing seen. So, good job keeping yourself hid away inside this giant machine!
